  • Do you provide food?

    We work with local vendors, bakers, and caterers and have lots of ideas for food! When you book, just make a note of what you’re craving and we will help coordinate food for your special day.

  • What about alcohol?

    Love it. However, we are not licensed to provide alcohol. If you provide your own, please check regulations at your picnic site and observe local ordinances.

  • What if it rains, or the ground is wet?

    For picnics between October and April, we highly recommend that you designate an alternate location in case of rain. Typically, we can handle a little wet ground after a light rain, by getting creative with our picnic rugs and blankets. However, we will contact you 48 hours before your picnic, and if it looks like rain, we can work to reschedule. We can accommodate a maximum of 2 rain delays.   • What's your refund/cancellation policy?

    Life happens :)
    Requests to cancel must be in writing to bluebirdpicnicco@gmail.com.

    Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the picnic. Cancellations received 7 or fewer days prior to the picnic, are not eligible for refunds. See our Terms of Service for full details

  • Can I send you a picture of what I want?

    We love inspiration! If you have a link to a pinterest board or other photos you’d like us to see, please provide a link in the comments section of our picnic request form. We’ll do our best to let your inspiration guide us as we style your picnic.

  • How does set up work?

    We’ll arrive to the picnic site about 1-1.5 hours prior to the event to set up. If we are setting up at your home, we request that you do not run the sprinklers the day before or day of the event. Please kindly keep kids and pets safe and out of the set-up area while we work our magic.

    You’ll need to meet us at the picnic site 5-10 minutes prior to start of your event. Please never leave your picnic site unattended.

  • What happens when I'm done picnicking?

    Well, you’ll be full and happy and all your friends will think you’re awesome. Then, at your picnic end time, our team will meet you at your picnic site and you can be on your merry way. If you finish your picnic early, you can text us and we’ll do our best to get there asap. Want to extend your party? Text us and it may be possible, depending on how many events we have that day (extra picnic time is invoiced at $60 per hour). Please never leave your picnic unattended.

  • How can I pay for my picnic?

    We use Square for all of our payments - it’s super easy to pay with any major credit card.

  • What locations do you recommend?

    Good question! We work in the trivalley area (Monterey, SF, and San Jose are possible, but incur travel charges listed in the add-on section after you select your package.)

    Local parks are always fun, and beaches are really memorable. Be sure to book at least several weeks ahead of time in case permits are necessary, but we can always find a great place to picnic. Some of the most memorable picnics will happen in your own back yard. If you need suggestions, let us know! Some favorites are Vasona Lake, Charles R Vineyard, Picchetti Winery, Emerald Glen Park.

  • What if the picnic is a surprise?

    We are so good at surprises! We’ll be in text contact on your day, so we can make sure we are out of sight when you lead your person to the big reveal. We can monitor the picnic from afar until you arrive :)

  • What if I break or damage something?

    Aw man. No one wants that to happen. We keep your credit card on file for missing or damaged items. Smoking (anything) is strictly prohibited, and will incur a $250 fee. See our Terms of Service for full details.
